In my area NO. In fact there is one missionary/CO visiting and he had heard there was going to be some layoffs and was hoping he was not one of them because he is getting close to his 60s. But not officially. -

LOLfreemindfade, I bet that poor JW regrets being photographed in that pose. It would have been better if he was a porn star. He will never live it down. All exjws will never let him live it down. Probably no sister will ever marry him either. Or worldly girl.
I wonder what ever happened to that poor sucker.

There were several families that were visiting my mom today and I was sitting in and just listening to all of them talk.
They started talking about the recent shooting at the University. And it’s so easy for them because all they have to say is;
"It’s a good thing that Jehovah is going to put an end to that."
They started talking about some kid that was born paraplegic and again it was so easy to just say, "Jehovah will give him a perfect body very soon."
They started talking about some brother who lost his job and the family was having a hard time and again they said; “very soon Jehovah will take care of that.”
Then they started talking about how nice it’s going to be when they have perfect bodies and not have to wear make-up.
And a few started talking about how they can’t wait to see their parents.
Then it dawn on me that it’s not the Governing Body they worship, but it’s the strong desire to see the suffering end, to see their dead love ones, to see justice for all those that have been killed unjustly, and to have their old bodies restored to youth.
The members of the Governing Body will die and be replaced just like the previous ones. But it's the promise of a New World and the belief that you can only get it through this Organization that keeps them in.
That’s why if they ever caught all the GB in some scandal and removed them all, it wouldn’t matter. They feel that the promise of life will flow only through the ORGANIZATION. They can replace the GB just like they can replace Ray Franz.
Listening to them reminded me why I stayed in so long. That carrot is very alluring. An end to wickedness, human suffering, sickness, crime, injustice, and even death. You just can’t pull the carrot away from them unless they are ready.

So changes were made, but who cares because were so deep into the end, nothing the Organization does, really matters—does it?
by John Aquila inso i called a few jwdubs that still talk to me, not to try to convince them of anything or wake them up but to try to get a feedback on how they took the big meeting change and other announcements.
generally speaking, all the ones i talked to were not even fazed by the changes.
many of them still didnt even realize the meeting format had changed and thought the layoffs were a normal thing that happens all the time.

DATA-DOG
They are just ignorant. They choose to be ignorant. All the information is available, but they are lazy and don't want to spend the hard work researching. Although many of JWs don't know how to research because many of them barely have a high school diploma or were home schooled.
I really feel sorry for them, they are being taken advantage because of their lack of knowledge.Hey even the Bible says that;
Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge,

So I called a few jwdubs that still talk to me, not to try to convince them of anything or wake them up but to try to get a feedback on how they took the big meeting change and other announcements.
Generally speaking, all the ones I talked to were not even fazed by the changes. Many of them still didn’t even realize the meeting format had changed and thought the layoffs were a normal thing that happens all the time.
Once they became aware of what I was talking about, all of them welcomed the fact that there will be no more TMSchool. All of them actually expressed that they hated to prepare talks every single week. Many of them hated the fact that there are two or three schools at the same time. One of the TMSchool servants said he doesn’t have to worry about scheduling students, taking care of cancellations, etc. He said, “The GB knows exactly what we need”
A couple of elders that I still talk to from time to time gave me a big speech about how Jehovah is working with the GB in these last days of the Wicked System of Things.
He said that I focus to much on the changes the organization is implementing, like the (carts, jwtv, donation arrangement, meeting changes, etc) and as a result, I’m missing the most important thing, “That we are on the threshold of the NEW ORDER.
He went on to point out that when the Israelites left Egypt, it was a big change from a stable society to wandering in the wilderness. In Egypt they had onions, leeks, housing, etc, but in the wilderness they were wanderers, not knowing where they were headed the next day.
He said that the changes for the Israelites were very frightening, nerve-racking, petrifying. They moved from one place to another at the spur of the moment. The changes from one camp to another were never explained to the Israelites . Jehovah just moved the cloud and the Israelites didn’t question it, even if it looked ridiculous and stupid from a human standpoint.
“They just obeyed”
Those that “Focused on the Changes” lost their life and didn’t make it to the promise land.
So who cares what the organization does, if they layoff everyone at Bethel, so what? If they want all our money, so what? If they tell us to stop preaching, so what? If they tell us to move to the wilderness and leave everything behind, including those we love that are disfellowshipped, so what?
We do exactly as we are told, because it means our everlasting life.
So there you go, it’s like I said before, the greater percentage of JWs you will not be able to help wake up.

WT Society SEC Records : Hedge Funds, Cayman Islands, Financial Losses - Links
by flipper inso my wife and i were curious so i researched some financial links and found records indicating that the wt society has been operating at a loss since the year 2012. as you read the links it shows a loss of 10 million $$$ in 2012, about 16 million $$$ in 2013, and a whopping loss of 56 million $$$ in 2014 - where the expenditures exceeded the revenues for each of those years in the amount i've mentioned.
also there is a link on this same website with the sec records indicating that the wt society and it's representatives funneled 40 million $$$$ into hedge funds in the cayman islands as early as 2007. if you look online on other sites you can see evidence that indicates the wt society attended hedge fund conferences to look into more shadiness in 2011 and isn't it curious that by 2012 the wt society started showing losses.
anyway here is the link : https://www.watchtowerlies.com/the_watchtower_revenue.html .. feel free to check this link out and other links on that link indicating the cayman island connection.

Here is the link for the Watch Tower of Canada revenueExpenses
· Gifts to other registered charities and qualified donees $35,921,399 (30%)
These charities are local Kingdom Halls. They lend them the money to remodel or construct then the members have to pay back the loans, then the member give the title to the Watchtower.
What a great Business. And non-taxable. There is no way they will be bankrupt. They are just going through a temporary cash flow problem
